FHA’s Influence Goes North!

Belle Fourche, South Dakota, is a community of 5,000 citizens located on the northern slopes of the world famous Black Hills in Western South Dakota. Here you find the world’s only ‘Center of the Nation Monument’. Belle Fourche has also been the home of the ‘Northwest Territory Pastors’ Retreat’ for the past nine years.

Yes, because of its strategic location it has become the annual meeting place for 20+ Pastors and their spouses, pictured here having dinner together, from the Church of God of Prophesy. They attend from South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana and Wyoming. Pastor Brad and Linda Abelseth of Rapid City have been organizing this gathering of Pastors for the past nine years and this year they requested that FHA Executive Director Dale Bartscher come and share his heart, the work of the FHA and the Word with those gathered.

Pastor Brad Abelseth, pictured here with Dale, has become a friend of the FHA and it’s events like this that lights a fire under the leadership of the FHA as Pastors are challenged to be Salt and Light beyond the four walls of their churches. It was the late Chuck Colson who wisely said, “As leaders in the local church it is our responsibility to bring a moral dimension to public life.”
