The Family Heritage Alliance recently held two fundraising events called our — STAND For Faith, Family and Freedom Banquets. The first banquet was held on September 27 in Sioux Falls where Keynote Speaker Gary Bauer, President of American Values, inspired the 340 Christian, Conservative Patriots gathered at the Sioux Falls Convention Center. Then, in Rapid City on October 11, 621 Patriots packed the Hall at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center as we listen to Keynote Speaker Rick Green, of WallBuilders USA.
I stated in my opening remarks:
Friends, our purpose HERE tonight is CLEAR – we have come together – as we enjoy this fellowship and a great dinner – to financially consider partnering with the Family Heritage Alliance as we invest in the work God has called her to. ‘For such a time as this’ we – the FHA – have been called to engage our culture for Christ through Pastors, Policy Makers and the Public. Our Vision is Clear as we would that: ‘South Dakota be a state where God is honored, Religious Freedom flourishes, Families thrive and Life is cherished.’
Our financial goal was to receive, from these two East/West Banquets, a combined total amount pledged and/or raised of…$425,000. This would allow us to both meet out 2017 budget and expand out family values influence across South Dakota. As of the publication of this FHA E-NEWS our income/expenses from the banquets are yet being tabulated as there are those across South Dakota and beyond who would still like to invest and partner with the FHA going forward. So we have decided to leave our ‘Stand Window Open’ until Monday, October 31.

Recently Pastor and FHA Board Chairman Scott Craig wrote the following concerning the FHA and FHA Action’s financial accountability:
I am pleased to share with you that, for the third year in a row, the 2015 Independent Accountant’s Compilation Report and Financial Statements reported excellent management of the funds by FHA and FHA Action. In fact, this last year only 9% was spent on administration. This means that 91 cents of every dollar given went straight into the program of promoting faith, family and freedom. Standard administrative costs among nonprofits are closer to 15%.
Thank you for STANDING with us when the need is the greatest. Remember: Monday, October 31 is our ‘Stand Window Open’ Deadline. Please, Donate TODAY!
