States’ Rights

Dear Friend,

Earlier this year the Obama administration, through the Department of Justice and the Department of Education issued a dangerous public school guideline.  They sent a non-binding letter to schools across the nation threatening to take away Title IX funding if schools do not adopt the administration’s rule to allow boys into girls’ showers, locker rooms, bathrooms, etc.

This is insane!

This is just “one problem” with sending our South Dakota education money to politicians in Washington.  They keep the money then blackmail us saying “If we don’t do what they say then funding will end.”  Really?  This is not what the founding fathers had in mind when they wrote the State’s Rights Article of the U.S. Constitution. Article 10 reads:

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

We applaud our Attorney General Marty Jackley for pushing back against this Washington over-reach when he, along with Attorney Generals from nearly half the States, have now filed suit against Obama’s blackmail plan.  We are grateful to our South Dakota US Congressional Delegation in Senator Thune, Senator Rounds and Representative Noem for their strong public statements opposing this Presidential intrusion into state’s rights.

We urge you to PRAY DAILY for our nation as you consider a sacrificial financial gift to FHA. September 1 marked the FHA’s 6th Anniversary and thus for 6-years we have stood firm as an advocate for our family values, and now I believe we exist for such a time as this!

Standing (Eph. 6:13),
