It was the author Leroy Eimes who wisely said, “A leader is one who sees more than others see, who sees farther than others see, and who sees before others see.” The Family Heritage Alliance is more than grateful for the many political leaders across the state whom we know as friends and allies in our quest to champion Faith, Family and Freedom. Two such leaders visited this week with our Executive Director Dale Bartscher.
- State Representative Mark Mickelson is running for another term in the State House of Representatives for District 13, Sioux Falls. He and his wife Cynthia are proud parents of George (17), David (15), and Charlie (12). Mark’s family has a tradition of civic duty and leadership in South Dakota. - US Representative Kristi Noem found herself west river for a few days and always finds time to give an encouraging word to the FHA concerning the work we do across the great state of South Dakota. Along with being South Dakota’s lone US Representative she is also a wife, mother, farmer, rancher and small business owner. Recently she wrote: “Olympic medalist Deena Kastor said about marathon running: ‘If you’ve got the training under your belt….the races take care of themselves.’ That’s how I have always viewed both parenting and education. Both are about training for the race called life.” Representative Noem will once again find herself on the SD ballot this Fall as she seeks another term as our US Representative.
