Dale Bartscher, FHA’s Executive Director, arrived in Tucson, Arizona on Monday, July 25, in time to begin the annual Family Policy Council’s Conference. Dale is joined at this intensive 5-day strategic planning event by the other 38 Family Policy Council State Executive Directors from across the county. Dale wrote, “I am honored to stand among these GIANTS in the cultural wars we face in this great Nation of ours.”
They are gathered under this year’s theme: Unleashing Citizenship 2016. What draws these leaders together is the common vision that “We be a nation where God is honored, religious freedom flourishes, families thrive and life is cherished.”
This event is primarily sponsored by the Family Policy Alliance (formerly known as CitizenLink). Dale is pictured here with the FPA’s President Paul Weber who will be on a speaking tour with the FHA in South Dakota this November 17 in Rapid City and November 18 in Sioux Falls. Other sponsors include: Focus On The Family, Alliance Defending Freedom and the Family Research Council to name a few.
Each day begins with a significant time of prayer and worship and then moves quickly into discussing topics of national concern such as: The 2016 Presidential Race; The Theology of Politics; Winning: What does it Take; Politics According to the Bible; School Choice; Physician Assisted Suicide; Religious Freedom Issues; Physical Privacy Laws; The Long March of the Pro-Life Movement after Roe; and…”Helping People of Faith Regain their Voice in the Public Square”.
The conference’s theme verse comes from Daniel 11:32b (ESV): “…the people who know their God shall stand firm and take action.” May that be said of the faith valued patriots in South Dakota.
