On Sunday, July 7, the Family Heritage Alliance was proud to be a co-sponsor of the Black Hills National Day of Prayer’s Monumental Hour of Prayer. Four hundred patriotic individuals gathered in the shadow of the Mount Rushmore Monument to sing, pray, and give honor to the men and women who defend this great country. The local group known as The Davis Sisters brought energy, patriotism, and worship to the event as they kicked off with several exceptional musical numbers. Following that, the National Anthem and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by our very own executive Director Dale Bartscher. Chaplain Chuck Knauer led the invocation. Lt. Col. Joseph Shusko brought a stirring keynote address. Pastors Chris and Sherie Maxey and BHNDP Coordinator Amy Wagner led the attendees in prayer for our country and troops. Chaplain Lynn Wilson led the closing prayer. Janet Albers was the accompanist or the event. Our own Pastor Scott Craig emceed the event.
