Whoever said: “there’s no free lunch” hadn’t met the Family Heritage Alliance. Friday, April 26, forty pastors and ministry leaders from around the Sioux Falls area took us up on our invitation to a free lunch, a trunk-load of book resources, and access to the human resources of the Family Heritage Alliance. To the awesome men and women of Sioux Falls’ First Evangelical Free Church, thanks for your ministry to the FHA and to the ministry leaders that came out to join us. Also, thanks to Lavonne Fossness, our Sioux Falls Area Representative who spent many hours coordinating this event for us.
Our Executive Director, Dale Bartscher started things off by sharing a few opening words about the FHA. Afterwards, Bartscher introduced our keynote speaker, Pastor Wade Brown of PastorServe. PastorServe is an organization that exists specifically to minister to and equip ministry leaders. Wade Brown, formerly with Focus On The Family, is serving both as a pastor of young adults at the Woodmen Valley Chapel in Colorado Springs, as well as the Executive Director of PastorServe’s Rocky Mountain Region. Click here for more information on PastorServe. Brown’s message was perfect for a room full of pastors. He spoke out of 2 Timothy 2, a section where the veteran Pastor Paul, gives advice and encouragement to his young apprentice Timothy. For the entirety of Wade’s sermon, see the video below!
